The Science Festival Extras programme kicks off and closes the main event at the weekend. The Science Festival opens with a pre-weekend highlight at the Taliesin on Friday, 25th October, featuring 'The Magical Mr West' and his enchanting performance, Crafty Fools. The grand finale on Monday, 28th October, will showcase the much-loved TV presenter Andy Day with his exciting show, Andy’s Dino Rap. Seated inside a replica plane fuselage within a 40ft shipping container, and taking place in absolute darkness, this unique audio-theatre show will take you on a journey like no other.
Exploring the multi-verse theories of Quantum Mechanics, FLIGHT takes audience members through two worlds, two realities, and two possible outcomes. There are many worlds in which this plane lands safely. We are not responsible for your final destination.

Crafty Fools: Adventures in Science

Celebrate Swansea Science Festival by joining ‘The Magical Mr West’ on an incredible adventure into the world of science!
Aided by his corvid companion Crowbert and a collection of curious contraptions, Mr West tackles some of the trickiest questions in the history of humanity.
Expect skills, silliness, and the studious application of logic from one-half of magic duo Morgan & West (ITV Penn & Teller: Fool Us).
Eternal You

Eternal You examines the story of people who live on as digital replicants in the pockets of their loved ones. With the help of artificial intelligence and Big Data, a dream comes true that is as old as mankind itself: eternal life. It’s probably the biggest business idea of the digital age, following tech start-ups which use a wealth of data to develop “digital doppelgangers,” which promise to immortalize people on earth. The film raises several questions, such as: Can a digital entity compensate for the loss of a loved one? How will human memory be affected? And do we not have the right to forget?
