Dr Samantha Burvill of The School of Management at Swansea University is thrilled to announce the publication of the groundbreaking textbook “Cases on Entrepreneurship and Innovation: Unexplored Topics and Contexts".

This project, which has been in development for the past three years, is the result of the unwavering passion, dedication, and hard work of Samantha Burvill and her esteemed co-editors Jana Schmutzler de Uribe, Lorena A. Palacios-Chacon, and Veneta Andonova.

The textbook features a diverse collection of teaching case studies on entrepreneurship and innovation, contributed by authors from across the globe. These case studies offer unique insights into lesser-explored topics and contexts, enriching the academic and practical understanding of students, educators, and professionals in the business community.

Samantha Burvill expressed her excitement about the project, stating, “I have had the pleasure of working alongside three passionate and hardworking female academics and co-editors. Through this collaboration, I have gained invaluable insights into teaching cases from authors worldwide. Their dedication has resulted in a collection of teaching cases that extend far beyond the usual options available for our teaching. This textbook will contribute to more diverse, thought-provoking, and inspirational teaching and learning experiences for students and educators alike. It also provides further insight into global entrepreneurship and innovation for the business community.”

The textbook has already received high praise from renowned scholars, including Professor David Audretsch, who praised the book for its comprehensive and innovative approach to teaching entrepreneurship and innovation.

The School of Management is proud to support such pioneering academic work and looks forward to seeing the positive impact this textbook will have on the academic and business communities. This publication underscores our academics commitment to fostering a deeper understanding of entrepreneurship and innovation, ensuring that students and colleagues are equipped with the knowledge and skills to navigate and excel in the ever-evolving business landscape.
